Creative colour challenge.

ColorChallenge"/>

Over the last few weeks I've been taking part in the creative colour challenge. I was invited by Louise Gale (believe it or not!). The story of how Louise and I met is an interesting one.

In the early stages of setting up my website I thought that I would google my name and see what happened. I typed in Louise Gale artist and another Louise Gale who, you guessed it, is an artist came up. I followed a link to her facebook group and since then we have become friends on facebook and started to get to know each other a little. During the process of getting to know each other we discovered this: We went to the same art school in London at the same time, 1989 - 1991! Recounting this story still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Taking part in the creative colour challenge has been a challenge (the clue is in the title I guess). It involves making an image using just black, white and one other colour. I've thoroughly enjoyed making a mess with paint and getting it behind my fingernails! It has also given me a little break from making the art for £1, and kept the creative juices flowing around here :)

Thank you for inviting me to take part Louise.

Artist's Directory

Quick post to let you know that I've set up a page for the 1 million project on Artist's Directory. I jumped at the chance to set this up after they contacted me via Twitter. It's a great site if you are looking to showcase your art, go take a look.

Here is the link to my profile page over there.

Ebay

We've decided to open an ebay shop "art-for-one-pound". It means that we can list our paintings for longer periods and get a lot more of them online. Here's a link

The art of turning £1 into 1 million!

OK I have discovered something this week and, that something is when you log into blogger.com it's best not to think too hard about what you are going to say. Just say it!

I've had this account for 3 days now and have struggled to find the right words to start off this blog or any words for that matter.

I am, however, starting today. I started this blog to tell people about my art. My husband peter and I have this "crazy" dream to sell 1 million pieces of our original art work for £1 each. We set up a website and have recently started selling our art on Ebay. Our local paper wrote an article about us and things are looking great, so far so good. We are still a very long way from our 1 million total but, the great thing is we are actually getting there :) One other great thing about this project is that we absolutely love what we do....and that helps a lot.

Here is a link to our website and Ebay listings if you are interested in taking a look at our work. Meanwhile I've added a couple of photographs here.
